Plaza Building at Desert Vista Campus
Pima Community College

Located on a site dense with Hohokam pit houses, the Plaza Building is carefully sited to minimize impact on the archaeology. The massive adobe entry wall celebrates the native presence on the site, creating a portal to contemporary society and technology. Designed as an addition to the existing facilities, the Plaza Building houses student services, a library and a computer commons.

The Plaza Building is the first building in Arizona certified to be sustainable, receiving Bronze certification under the United States Green Building Council’s LEED program.
